Our beloved Mother Barbaralee Stone, 89, of Thonotosassa earned her angel wings on January 9, 2023.

She was born on March 10, 1933 in Norwich Hill, Huntington, Massachusetts to parents John and Barbara Carmody. In 1950 she married the love of her life, Charles Stone and they had 5 children. In 1969 she moved from Myrtle Beach, SC to Florida, with her husband and family. She had many hobbies including crafting, gardening and reading. During her life she was a Certified Nursing Assistant, President of the Foster Parents Association in Tampa and a foster parent for 18 years. Prior to her retirement, for 19 years, she was the Co-Owner of Little Pioneers Preschool in Wesley Chapel.

Barbaralee is survived by her children, Sandra Gatlin (Larry), Susan Singletary (Phillip), Linda Bryan (David), Christopher Stone (Allyson) and daughter-in-law Judy Stone (Charles-deceased).She also cared for Karen Chamness, Tracy Bouffard, Gail Gatlin, and Amy Haynes. Grandchildren, Apryl Quillen, Amy Cuscaden, David Bryan, Conner Stone, Jake Stone, Sean Stone and great grandchildren, Michael Singletary Jr, Zane Quillen, Mia Quillen, Chloe Cuscaden and her BFF of 50 years-Gladys McPeak.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Barbara; beloved husband of almost 50 years-Charles; son-Charles Stone; grandson-Michael Singletary; granddaughter-Jamie Stone and great grandson-Devin Cuscaden.

A visitation will take place 10- 11 am Tuesday January 17th at Hodges Family Funeral Home Zephyrhills. A funeral mass will be conducted at 11AM with burial immediately following at St Anthony of Padua Cemetery in San Antonio.
