Barbara C. Farmer Seal, 89, passed away Wednesday June 15th, 2022 at the Gulfside Hospice Care in Zephyrhills, FL.
Born on August 27, 1932 in Louisville, KY, to the late Albert W. and Gladys M. Crum. She was a resident of the Edwinola in Dade City for the last four and half years. Where she was known as the horse lady, as she told anyone who would listen about her beloved horses. She retired to Zephyrhills FL., in the early 80s from Mt. Airy, NC.
Barbara lived in Mt Airy, NC where she raised her three children and her beloved horse Baby Doll. She worked for the Mt Airy Telephone Company, which later became Central Telephone of Mt Airy as an Operator Supervisor and Directory Assistant until it closed down in 1979 and moved to Elkin NC.
Barbara was preceded in death by first husband Cecil C Farmer, second husband Robert W Seal, her son David C Farmer, her grandson Nathan A Farmer, and her granddaughter Cody Lee Farmer, her sister Lois Owen and her brother Charles Chuck Crum.
Barbara leaves behind two children Janet Farmer Schroeder (Bob) of Dade City FL, Duane E Farmer (Christi) of Myrtle Beach SC.
Six grandchildren, Kelly Westerlund, Dustin Farmer, Jessica Farmer, Matthew Farmer, Ashton Olney and Dylan Olney.
Five great grandchildren, Cody Farmer, Logan Farmer, Chloe Westerlund, Kayden Olney and Calvin Olney and her sister Sue Ellen Martin (Bob) of Portland OR
A private burial will take place at a future date.
