Barbara Ann Roberts, 84, of Center Barnstead, NH and Dade City, FL passed away after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by family & friends on January 1, 2026. She lived a full and blessed life.

Barbara was born on August 21, in Jamacia Plain MA. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Charlie Roberts, her parents Kenneth & Margaret Bushey, her daughter Maggi Bernard, her brother Ken Bushey and brother-in-law Danny Mendalka.

Barbara & Charlie started their love story in high school~they only had eyes for each other. They married as soon as Barb graduated nursing school and started their family. They moved from Melrose, MA to Suncook Lake in Center Barnstead in 1972. Barbara was a registered nurse, a career she poured her heart and soul into, working first in Melrose with pediatric patients, at Concord Hospital; mostly on the pediatric floor, eventually she became the school nurse at the Barnstead Elementary School, for more than three decades she showered so many families with kindness and love.

She enjoyed spending time at the lake in New Hampshire and so many things about Florida. She and Charlie had a love for Disney that spanned decades, enjoying time with their children, grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed working in her gardens, watching the fruits of her labor blossom and grow. She loved to quilt, go on quilt retreats, shop hops and taking classes with always learning and creating, then sharing her creations. She loved a good boat ride, kayak trip even water skiing ! She was a Make-A-Wish volunteer in NH, spreading joy where she could. She was always up for a game night or cards, dinner out, Hallmark movies or any reason to take a vacation. She loved her family & her friends fiercely. The memories that she created for all of us will live in our hearts and will last a lifetime.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Lauri Rautenberg and her husband Kevin of New Port Richey, FL and her son Scott Roberts and his wife Cindy of Center Barnstead, NH. Her sister Diane Mendalka. Her grandchildren Matthew Plaisted, his wife Stephanie and their son Henry; Kelsey Zervas, her husband Steve and their children, Harper, Theodore & Penelope, Dylan Bernard, Katie Navarro, Adam Navarro and Paul Roberts. Her sister-in-law Sharleyn Bushey. Nieces & nephews and their extended families completed her loving family circle. She had an extended group of people who were all lucky enough to call her a friend, she was truly loved and will be missed by all.
