Barbara Ann
Rhoden
April 16, 1940 – April 2, 2026
Barbara Ann Rhoden, "Big Red", 85, of Dade City, Florida, passed away on April 2, 2026, in Zephyrhills, Florida.
Barbara was born on April 16, 1940, in Grand Ridge, Florida, to the late Willard A. Parker and Gracie M. Parker.
On January 30, 1958, she married the love of her life, Gerald "Tony" A. Rhoden. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and devotion, sharing many beautiful years until his passing on September 27, 2015.Barbara dedicated her career to bookkeeping, where she was known for her diligence, precision, and unwavering work ethic. Beyond her profession, she found joy in sewing and crafting-quiet talents that reflected her patience, creativity, and deep care for others. Through every stitch and every handmade gift, she expressed a love that words often could not capture.
Barbara carried a compassion and care for her family that most only dream of. She had a rare and beautiful way of delivering both love and gentleness exactly when it was needed most-sometimes without saying a word at all, and other times with a perfectly timed, slightly inappropriate one-liner that could bring laughter in even the heaviest moments. Her presence was both comforting and unforgettable.
She formed deep, unbreakable bonds with those she loved. So profound were those connections that, in her passing, her brother, William David Parker, followed closely behind just two days later-a reflection of the closeness they shared in life.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Tammy Herrmann (Mike) and Terry Duesberry; her cherished grandchildren, Carla Bailey, Tobias Herrmann, Emma Rhoden, and Mollie Jackson; and seven great-grandchildren, including four great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters. She also leaves behind extended family and many dear friends who will miss her deeply.
