IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Ann
McClure
January 19, 1952 – January 21, 2026
Barbara Ann McClure, born January 19, 1952, passed away peacefully at the Melech Hospice House on January 21, 2026. She was 74. She will be remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother, sister, and friend. Barbara lived her life selflessly, practicing kindness and resiliency.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McClure, Sr., her parents, Danny Roberts, Sr. and Evelena Ruby Roberts (née Booth), and her sister, Linda Griffis. She is survived by her loving brothers: Danny Roberts, Jr. and Donnie Roberts, who shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and family bonds with her. Barbara also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, all of whom she cherished deeply.
Barbara's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her four children: Patrick Bernard Cotter (Christie), JoValena Irene "Jody" Kender (Deric), Kristina Dionne Speer (Thomas), Richard Colin "Jay" McClure, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Kaley McClure. She was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren: Madeline DiMaria (Philip), Melanie Kender (Jack Wilson), Aidan Kender, Kellen Kender, Tommy Speer (Mandy), Meagyn Jimenez (Jaime), Nicholas Speer, Colin McClure, Ethan McClure, Dillion McClure, Mason McClure, and Heather Youngblood. Barbara was also blessed with six great‑grandchildren.
Barbara worked at Multi‑line Can Company of Dade City and the Pasco Clerk's Office. On weekends, she moonlighted as a CNA, most notably at Heartland of Zephyrhills. She spent some time working at the catering department at Busch Gardens.
When Barbara wasn't working, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to watch baseball and she was an excellent cook. She loved to read and was an avid Scrabble player, often spending long Saturdays in friendly Scrabble marathons with her mother.
A woman of deep faith, Barbara was a long‑standing member of Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church of Lacoochee. When her health allowed, she found great comfort in worship and fellowship there.
Those who knew Barbara will remember her for her warmth, humor and generosity. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.
