It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Jeanne Mandel, fondly known as "Babs". Barbara passed away on June 12, 2023, at the age of 76 in the comfort of her home in Zephyrhills Florida, surrounded by her loved ones. Barbara was overwhelmingly kind, a compassionate soul, who never met a stranger. She had this special gift to find good in everyone, as well as filling a room with an abundance of laughter, love, and Tova perfume. She was happiest being among family, tending to her rose bushes, and doting on her pets, especially her pup Buddy, whom we consider her soulmate. Above all, Barbara was a remarkable mother to not only her biological children but also to the numerous kids that she warmly welcomed into her home.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband James Mandel and her mother Jeanne Colgan, and is survived by her daughters Lynda Mandel, Laurie Beaver, & Kimberly Demarest, as well as her daughter in law Nicole Lambert, son in law Joel Beaver, her brother Michael Gragert (Liz), and her sister Leslie Latto (Tom). Barbara has 4 beautiful grandchildren, Meagan Beaver, Lauren Beaver, James Beaver, & Selina Mandel, along with many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was born in Orlando Florida but traveled a lot throughout her childhood. She spent most of her adult life in Saint Petersburg Florida but has spent the last 15 years in Zephyrhills Florida.

A celebration of life will be held:

In lieu of flowers we kindly request that you bring a rosebush of your choice. These rose bushes will be planted in a garden as a lasting tribute to Barbaras life.
