Barbara Jean Duarte, 85, of Zephyrhills, passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Suncoast on September 3rd. . Barbara was born on March 8, 1941 in Providence RI to Donald & Helen Simpson. She was married to John Duarte for 50 years until his passing in May 2015.She was employed at Sears for 35 years prior to relocating to Zephyrhills, where she worked for the Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce for a number of years before retiring.She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Andrew) Atanasio of Clearwater and Jennifer Taylor of Johnston, RI, her grandchildren, Michael (Sierra) Atanasio, Sean Taylor, Allyson Atanasio and Meghan Taylor and great granddaughter Gianna Atanasio.In recent years she enjoyed walking her 10,000 steps daily and feeding the wildlife at Zephyr park. A graveside burial will be held at Bushnell National Cemetery on October 16th at 11:30 am
