Barbara Patricia Dember, 84, of San Antonio Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 24, 2024, surrounded by her family. Barbara was born on June 11, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York to Betty and Joseph Guerin. Barbara married the love of her life, the late Charles Dember, 66 years ago.

Throughout her life, Barbara lived in Jackson and Freehold New Jersey, as well as Chesapeake Virginia, before settling in San Antonio, Florida. She enjoyed a fulfilling career, first as the secretary to the Rabbi at Temple Shaari Emeth, then as a Human Resources officer at Navieras Maritime Shipping and as a Library Media Assistant with Chesapeake Public Schools. Barbara enjoyed working with students, sharing her love of reading.

As a long-time resident of Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club, Barbara found joy in golfing, spending time with friends and serving as the community as a library manager and as a First Responder and volunteering reading to students in elementary school. Barbara and Charles traveled the world together, including visiting every major league baseball stadium in the United States. Most of all, Barbara cherished time with her family.

Those left to mourn her loss are her three children Susan (Mark), John, Greg (Laura) and six grandchildren Justin, Jazlyn, Machalyn, JohnCharles (Lauren), Cole and Savanna.
