CROSS, Barbara J., 90, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away September 28, 2026. She was born December 2, 1935, in Chicago, IL, and was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan her entire life. She was predeceased by her parents, Willard J. Maddock and Jeanette K. Goplus Maddock, her brother Willard P. Maddock, and her granddaughter Alissa Hill. 

She worked beside and was a loving wife to her husband of 71 years, Jimmy (Jim) Cross. Other survivors include her son Jim (Carolynn) Cross, daughter Debbie (Les) Watson, sister-in-law Jean Maddock, and cousins John and Gary Tyssen and Jay Maddock; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and brother- and sisters-in-laws. 

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 11441 U.S. Highway 301, Dade City, FL. A brief service will follow visitation and conclude with burial at Chapel Hill Gardens.
