Barbara A Campbell, 89, formerly of 3010 Rt 16N Olean, died Sunday, May 9, 2021, at the home of her daughter Susan, after a long illness. Born July 4, 1931, she was the daughter of Edward and Nina Estes Friedl. On August 22, 1953, in Olean, she married Donald Campbell who preceded her in death, September 8, 1998.

Barbara graduated from Olean High School in 1949, and enjoyed a secretarial career working for several years at Olean Tile. Later, when her children were older, Barbara worked for Guild Miller, Westinghouse, and VanderHorst, eventually retiring from Crawford and Company in December of 1992 after 10 years of service. Barbara was a dedicated homemaker and was active in the Hinsdale PTA. She enjoyed reading and loved taking pictures of flowers and bird watching.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan Campbell of Zephyrhills, FL, Patricia (James) DeHart of Wesley Chapel, FL, a son, Lawrence (Lisa) Campbell of Hampton, VA, grandchildren, Elizabeth Campbell, Christopher (Natasha) DeHart, and Jason (Calista) DeHart, nephews, Dennis (Elisa) Friedl, David (Diane) Campbell, Mark Campbell, and a niece, Linda (James) Eastman, great grandchildren, Aurora and Hunter DeHart, and sister- in-law, Peggy (James) Campbell.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Burt (Louise) Friedl, and brother-in-law, James Campbell.

There will be no visitation. Barbara chose to be cremated, and her ashes, along with her husband's, will be interred at a date when the family can gather in New York.
