Arthur "Art" Poe

February 1, 1937 – January 6, 2025

Arthur "Art" Poe, 87, of Zephyrhills, Florida, and formerly of Lima, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025. Born on February 1, 1937, in McGuffey, Ohio, to Claude Poe and Alice Ousley, Art was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Art was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Uva Maxine Poe, of Zephyrhills, Florida. Together, they shared a life full of love and music. He was the proud father of twin sons, Gary Poe (Frankie) and Jerry Poe (Angie), and the proud grandfather of one grandchild, who brought him much joy. Art is also survived by his sister, Vedna Jolliff, who was a constant presence in his life.

A deeply talented musician, Art's love for music was apparent to all who knew him. Whether playing an instrument or singing, his musical gifts touched the hearts of those around him, and his passion for music remained with him throughout his life. While he was retired at the time of his passing, Art's legacy will live on through the melodies and memories he shared with others.

Art's family and friends will remember him for his warm heart, sense of humor, and the profound impact he had on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a man who brought light into every room and left a lasting impression on those whose lives he touched.

A public visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 11441 US-301, Dade City, FL 33525. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with burial at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery immediately following. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Art's life.
