On June 13, 1939, Arthenia Joyce Parker was born to the late Buster and Cleo Parker in Georgetown, SC. Her brother, LeRoy couldnt pronounce Arthenia, and started calling her Teenie, which became her nickname. When she was four years old, Teenie and family relocated to New York City. They spent a year in Brooklyn and then moved to 114th Street in Harlem.
Teenie attended P.S. 170 elementary school, P.S. 81 Junior high School. She attended Charles Evens Hughes High School and graduated in June of 1957. After graduation, she began working and the nickname shortened to Tina. Tina worked for the New York Telephone Company and Clerical for the Local 11 Union.
In 1969, Tina moved to the Bronx. And in 1977 she began working for the 46 Precinct. She started as a TS Operator and moved to the 124 Room. By 1980, she was working in Roll Call and remain there until she retired January 1, 2004. She so loved her 46 family as they love her.
In July of 2012, Tina relocated to Tampa, FL. Meeting new neighbors who quickly became friends & family.
