It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Arlene McCarthy Stevens, of Saint Joseph on January 26, 2022, at the age of 64 years after a long battle with cancer. Arlene was a mother, a friend, a confidant, and the epitome of a selfless human.

Arlene was born on April 20, 1957, to John and Agnes McCarthy who predeceased her. She began her career with Withlacoochee Rural Electric Company on July 8, 1974. There she held many positions within the customer service department accumulating her career of 46 years on July 8, 2020, as Director of Customer Information.

Her children, grandchildren and unwavering faith were everything to her. She especially loved her role as Nannie.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 44 years, Warren Stevens; her children Hayes Stevens (Tim), Austin Stevens (Amy), and Shanna Barthle (Jacob); her grandsons Benny Barthle and and soon-to-arrive Tate Barthle; her siblings Mary Jane Dewees (Steve), Johnny McCarthy (Cindy), Charlotte Back (Richard), Sharon Polk (Tim) and Thomas McCarthy (Cherri); her in-laws Thomas A Stevens (Karen), Nancy Stevens, Mary Smisek (George), and Laura Schrader (Terry); as well as her many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
