With great sadness, the family of Anthony Joseph Valentino (Tony) announces his passing on Saturday, December 14, 2024. He was 73 years old and living in Zephyrhills, FL when he died at home.
Tony was born November 23, 1951, in Jersey City, NJ to Vincent and Caroline Valentino (nee Messano).
He married Patricia Moran in Jersey City on October 20, 1973, and celebrated 51 years of marriage.
He attended Jersey City State College and was employed in the telecom industry for over 45 years living in New Jersey, Colorado, and Florida with his family.
Tony was a diehard New York Yankees fan and enjoyed coaching his two sons in Little League. He was community minded and earned his EMT certification to volunteer with the Ambulance Corp. in Westwood, NJ.
Tony loved music and he enjoyed playing as a self-taught pianist. He also loved bowling and was always happy to show you how to throw a perfect hook ball.
Tony is survived by his wife Pat, his sons Patrick and Thomas (Rebecca) and his beloved grandson Oliver.
He is also survived by his sister Carol O'Keeffe (Brian), sisters-in-law Helen Mac Cormac (Angus), Mary Valentino and Celia Moran. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He will be very much missed by his feline buddy, Henry.
He was predeceased by his parents and brother Vincent Valentino Jr.
A gathering will be held at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 36327 State Road 54, Zephyrhills 33541 on Saturday, December 21st from 1pm to 3pm.
