Annette Fay Turnage, born on February 28, 1937, in Dade City, Florida, left this earthly body and entered into her heavenly one on September 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the youngest daughter of Fid Deason Mosley and Vicy Doralou (Sikes) Mosley and was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald Eugene Turnage, her parents, and an extended family including six brothers and sisters. She married Donald Eugene Turnage on June 1, 1959, and embraced the role of a Navy military wife for 20 years. Together, they explored the world, including Italy, Japan and Morocco before returning to Florida. Annette was a woman who genuinely cared for everyone around her. Her career as a children’s shop manager and homemaker reflected her nurturing spirit and commitment to family. Annette was involved with the First Community Church of Dade City, where her church family and friends played a significant role in her life. Her hobbies included traveling, sewing, and reading, pursuits she enjoyed until her eyesight began to fade. Annette is survived by her loving children, Steven D. Turnage (Maggie and Aaron)and Susanne Turnage Sessoms (Byron and Joseph), Adele Turnage (Steve), granddaughter Katie Sandy, her husband Jordan, and children Anna, and Caleb, grandson Greg Turnage, his wife Megan and children Slade, and Margot and Joseph Sessoms. Her legacy of love and kindness continues through them. In her later years, Annette was blessed with special friends who supported her daily life, including Dina Wenzel, Robin Helisek, Teresa Gould and Jacque Floreno. Our family is so very grateful for their care and friendship. A true Southern lady, Annette's natural beauty and love for others left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her warmth and genuine care for her family and community will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Annette's life will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 3:00 PM, with visitation from 2-3 at Hodges Funeral Home, located at 11411 US Hwy 301, Dade City, FL. There will be a graveside service October 1, 2026 at 10 am at the Florida National Cemetary, 6502 SW 102nd Ave., Bushnell, FL. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice in Annette's memory. Annette's spirit will forever be a guiding light for her family and friends, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
