On Saturday, November 6, 2021, Anne E. Lafontaine passed away suddenly at home in Dade City, Florida,
at the age of 72; where she and her husband, Normand have resided since 2006. She was born on
November 26, 1948 in Lewiston, Maine to Alfred and Annette Marquis. She was educated in local
schools and graduated from St. Dominics High School. Anne married the love of her life, Normand
Lafontaine in June, 1969 and was happily married for 52 years.
Anne was an avid fan of University of Maine Football where her brothers played as well as her New
England teams, the Red Sox and New England Patriots. She is also a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
where her favorite quarterback Tom Brady transferred to.
Anne was an active member of the bowling community in Lewiston, Maine where she made lifelong
friends. She was a very active member of her Highlands Community in Dade City Florida serving as the
treasurer for the community and many other roles. She enjoyed playing Mahjong with her Highlands
Community friends.
Anne is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Normand B. Lafontaine whom she loved with all of
her heart and soul; two brothers, Alfred Marquis Jr. and his wife Julie from Kennebunkport, Maine and
John Marquis from Norris, Tennessee. Anne also leaves behind her second family whom she considered
her brothers and sisters; Pauline Valliere and her husband Robert of Sun City Center, Florida, sister-in-law
Linda Lafontaine of Lewiston, Maine, Lucien Lafontaine and wife Dianna, from Gray, Maine and Lionel
Lafontaine and his wife Nancy, of Winter Springs, Florida.
Anne also leaves behind several nieces and nephews all of whom she loved very much. She will be sadly
missed by her special niece and Goddaughter, Celeste Patrie and her husband John of Lewiston, Maine.
She also loved seeing pictures of her great- great nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her mom and dad, Alfred and Annette Marquis from Auburn, Maine and her
father and mother-in-law Bertrand and Carmen Lafontaine; from Lewiston, Maine as well as her brother
-in -law Denis Lafontaine from Lewiston, Maine.
Viewing will be on Thursday, Nov. 11 from 6 to 8 PM at Hodges Family Funeral Home located at 11441
Hwy 301 Dade City Chapel Hill Garden. There will no funeral service.
