Anna L LaPiana, 97, of Zephyrhills and formerly of North Hornell, NY passed away September 1, 2014 at her home. She was born in Conesus, NY to George and Wilhemina Conlon. From 1942-1949 Anna served in the Navy Waves. She volunteered over 20,000 hours at Zephyrhills Hospital. She was an active member of St Josephs Catholic Church of Zephyrhills. Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles LaPiana; brother, James Conlon and sister, Rosemary Bush. Survivors include her son, James (Lucinda) LaPiana; daughter, Shirley (Russell) Martin, sister, Margret Myers and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place 4-6 PM Thursday at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Zephyrhills. She will be laid to rest in Fremont, NY at a later date.
