Andrew “Andy” Edmond Seese Jr.,95 of Zephyrhills passed away Friday, July 24, 2026 at Baldomero Lopez Veterans Home in Land O’ Lakes. He was born July 18. 1931 in Akron, Ohio to Andrew Edmond Seese, Sr and Mettie May McIntire Seese. In 1949 he graduated from Carthage Troy High School in Torch, Ohio. He worked at Mansfield Dominion Electric in Mansfield, Ohio in 1950. He joined the US Air Force on January 6, 1951 and retired 26 years later, January 31,1977. Andy worked at the Tappon Factory in Murray, Kentucky from 1977 to 1979. From 1979-1989 he worked in building and maintenance at Allen Bradley in El Paso, Texas.

Marriages;

Andy was united in marriage to Barbara LaVerne Cook Seese on August 6, 1954, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. On June 3, 1983, he married Alpha Mae Cook Seese in El Paso, Texas. He married Linda Lee Pollard Seese on August 26, 2017, in Dade City, Florida.

Hobbies:

Andy was on the bowling league at Travis Air Force Base in the 1970’s. In the 1980’s he was on the bowling league in El Paso, Texas and then joined the bowling league in Florida in the 1990’s. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football, basketball and golf. He attended the college basketball games at UTEP. He really loved fishing. He would go fishing on the Withlacoochee River with his dad, Andrew and friends, Bill White and Rex Brown. He was the President of the Community Volunteer Club and President of the Volunteer Fire Station of Croom-A-Coochee. For 12 years Andy was a Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Croom-A Coochee. He was a member of New Life Church in Zephyrhills.

Achievements:

Andy went to North Korea in December of 1952. He stayed there until May 1953. He flew 75 missions and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross. Andy earned four Air Medals based on the missions flown. His great achievement in life was being a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.

Characteristics: Andy was kind, loyal, generous-to-a-fault, and loving. He had a quick wit. Andy loved to tell stories. He loved being in the military, his family, and animals.

Places of residence:

Andy lived in Loyal Oak, Ohio until he was 14 years old. Next, he lived in Torch, Ohio. In 1956 he resided in Tripoli, North Africa. Then he moved to El Paso, Texas at Biggs Air Force Base. After that, he and his family were transferred to Charleston Air Force Base in Charleston, SC. In 1968, he went to Vietnam. In 1969, Andy and his family moved to Travis Air Force Base in California. His family then moved to Vacaville, California in 1972. After retiring in 1977, Andy and Barbara moved to Murray, Kentucky. In 1979 they move back to El Paso, Texas. Andy moved to Croom-A-Coochee in1991 where he resided for 28 years. In 2019 he moved to Zephyrhills.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Barbara LaVerne Seese on February 5, 1983, Alpha Mae Seese on August 4, 2016; son, Thomas (Carmen) Seese on March 11, 2012; siblings, Franklin Seese on November 16, 1999 and Ronald Seese on April 10,1998; beloved German Shepherd, Caesar.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Linda Seese; children, Sonia Seese (John) Tucker; grandchild, Vito Dominguez; great grandchild, Shade Steiner; siblings, William Seese and Linda Seese Stengel; his beloved little dog, Mandy and Mimi (Main Coon Cat).

Visitation will take place from 10:30-11:30 AM Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Renewed Life Church 7124 Forbes Rd Zephyrhills with a funeral service at 11:30 AM. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 AM Friday, July 31st at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell with military honors.
