Andre, "The Fix-it Man", Bergeron
April 10, 1942 – August 20, 2025
Andre was a hardworking, family man who enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, and figuring out how things work. He grew up in a rural, farming family in Canada and Vermont. He served in the Army, reaching the rank of Sergeant. Later he moved to South Florida to be near his sister and her family where he met and married Rose Mary. He was a craftsman, mastering skills in carpentry and machining, leading to his long-term career as a machinist for Eastern Airlines. He built his home in Davie, FL where he lived and raised a family for 30 years. He later built a second home in Dade City, FL to be near his grandchildren. He was inquisitive and known for fixing any old thing he came across, just because he wanted to know how it worked. He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary; his son, Ronald; daughter, Diane; son-in-law, Chris; grandchildren, Noah and Kaitlyn; sister, Alice and her husband, Henry; brother-in-law, Richard; sister-in-law, Gloria; as well as many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Helene, his brother, Rosaire, and sister, Lorette. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dade City, FL starting with a viewing at 11:00 AM followed by Mass and burial.
