Anabis “Bita” Albino, 76, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
Anabis was born on January 1, 1950, in Peñuelas, Puerto Rico, to the late Alcides Mendez and Obulia Quiñones. On April 12, 1965, she married the love of her life, Bienvenido “Yiyin” Albino, in Peñuelas, and together they built a life centered around family.
At the age of 50, Anabis earned her GED and continued her education by attending trade school to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked as a CNA at Preakness Hospital in New Jersey, where she dedicated herself to caring for others. Throughout her life, she called Puerto Rico, New Jersey, and Florida home.
Anabis is survived by her beloved husband, Bienvenido “Yiyin” Albino; her children, Marino, Richard, and Anabis; her grandchildren, Alyssa, Christian, Richard Jr., Ricardo, Anabis, and Samantha; and her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Damon, Emilia, and Amora. She is also survived by four brothers, three sisters, and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Anabis will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and the many lives she touched throughout her 76 years.
A service honoring Anabis will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Zephyrhills, Florida. The family will receive guests from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service taking place from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
The family kindly asks those attending to wear a white top in honor of Anabis.
