Alma Hostetler Detweiler

Beloved mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend passed away peacefully in her home in Zephyrhills, Florida on October 31, 2024 at the age of 94.

Alma was born on October 10, 1930 in Middlefield, Ohio to Eura And Ada Yoder Hostetler. She was a very positive woman who loved God with all her heart. A woman who believed in prayer and who prayed for her family and friends daily. She had a bubbly fun spirit and loved life, which she lived to the fullest. She loved reading, crocheting, writing poems, flowers and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her children: Linda/Greg Shockley, Ken/Barb Detweiler, Paul/Heather Detweiler, Marcia Casselman, Robert Detweiler, Daniel/Isabel Detweiler, Christina/Greg McPhee, Keith/Robin Detweiler, Connie Detweiler, Brenda/Jesse Justice, Rhonda McClure, Jared/Linda Detweiler, 31 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Eura and Ada Hostetler, daughter Betty, brother Menno, deceased father of the children Daniel Jacob Detweiler, and many more family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Hodges Funeral Home for family on November 16th followed by a luncheon at Zack's Oakside Mobile Park in the clubhouse at 1 pm. All family and friends are welcome to come by and share pictures and stories with the children. Bring a dish to share.
