Alice Ann Butterfield, a long time resident of Zephyrhills, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday February 12, 2022 at the age of 79 after a long battle with Alzheimers.

Alice is survived by her husband Floyd Butterfield; Her kids Ranena and Randy; her grandchildren Amy, Constance, Jake, Brandy, Cody, Austin, and Bailey and her great-grandchildren Madison, Noah, Kenzley, and Maddox. She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Clatie, her 2 brothers Jerry and Sonny, and her sister Bobbie.

Alice was born October 12, 1942 in Cairo, Illinois. She split her adult years between Florida and Missouri. She and Floyd were long time members of the Moose lodge in Zephyrhills where she could be found line dancing and enjoying the company of friends. She embraced her Cherokee heritage, enjoyed many pow wows and passed on the traditions to her kids and grandkids. She was an avid crafter and could be found painting, sewing, and arranging flowers. She was a successful business owner and entrepreneur who had several successful endeavors over the years. She and Floyd also enjoyed traveling and cruising.

Some of the best memories shared with Alice included cooking. She loved to cook and bake and she made all the holidays feel extra special with her many different kinds of treats she would make. Alice loved music and could be found singing along to 90s country or her favorite doo wop tunes. She loved fiercely and deeply. Family was a big deal to her and the absence of her will be felt widely. She will be missed greatly by her loved ones and those fortunate enough to call her friend.

A viewing and funeral service will be held at 6 pm on Thursday February 17th at Hodges Funeral Home in Zephyrhills. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in her name to the Alzheimers Association.
