Alice Virginia Loring Baier, 95, went to be with her Lord on November 29, 2012. Alice lived in Florida for over 30 years and moved to San Antonio, TX to live with her daughter and son-in-law in 2008. She was born on May 2, 1917 in Dunbar, WV to John and Edith Loring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen of 64 years; daughter, Barbara Smith; great grandson, Eric Cross; brother, Dick Loring; sister, Sue (Carl) Boggess. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Karen (John) Scales of Kenbridge, VA, Jean (Hans) Wolf of Palm Coast, FL, Janet (Reid) Nesbit of Spring Branch, TX; son-in-law, Charles Smith of Tampa, FL; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Edith (Carl) Bender of Bradenton, FL; brothers, Robert (Marge) Loring of Red House, WV and Gene (Marge) of Winfield, WV. Alice worked as a secretary and Intermediate Supervisor of the Recreation for the City of Eleanor, WV in her younger years. Alice in her life time was a wonderful mother and wife. She served on numerous church and school committees being president of the Missionary Societies and boards of Parent Teacher Organizations. She had an abundant love for the Lord, her family, the outdoors and traveling. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Thursday, December 6th at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Zephyrhills. Funeral Services will be held 10 AM Friday with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens.
