Alfred E. Haslam 85, of Dade City passed away Monday, January 7, 2019. Al was born December 5, 1933 in Haddon Heights, New Jersey and moved to this area 30 years ago from Miami. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Unity Church. He owned and operated Owl's Pest Control in Miami for 25 years. Once he and his wife moved to Dade City, he worked for both Pat Murphy Insurance and AmeriLife Insurance before founding Al's Famous Pizza in San Antonio. Al is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dedi Anderson, and many close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Al's memory to the DNC (Democratic National Committee). A celebration of his life will be held at Al's Famous Pizza (corner of Curley Road and Highway 52) in San Antonio at 3:00 on Sunday, January 13, 2019.
