IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Albert Thomas
Schram
September 21, 1954 – December 6, 2025
Albert T. Schram was born in Utica, New York, to Albert and Betty Schram. He graduated from Utica Free Academy and the State University of New York at Cobleskill. On Nov. 28, 1978, amidst a snowstorm, he moved to Florida with his best friend, Dennis Butler (wife, Terri Butler), in a 1972 red MG Midget. While living in Florida, he became a golf course superintendent, or as he liked to call it, a "grass farmer."
Through the years, he worked at Grenelefe Golf and Tennis Resort, Saddlebrook Resort, Lexington Oaks Golf Course, and of course, Rogers Park Golf Course in Tampa, where he was assistant Superintendent.
He leaves behind his wife, Catherine, and daughter Bethany, son-in-law, Blake Gershowitz, and a rather large (but not fat), gray cat named Walter.
His memory will live on through his family and friends, including Tim and Phyllis Sheldon, nephew Justin, and daughter, Layla.
Albert will be lovingly remembered by his devoted New York family, including Larry Schram, Bob Schram, Judy Williams, Anne and Dave DeCola, and Frank and Teresa Schram. He will also be cherished by his nieces and nephews, including Mike Schram, Emily DeCola, and David DeCola.
A celebratory dinner will be held at a future date.
