Albert James Hayden III, 69, of Dade City, Florida passed away at home with his wife by his side on February 3, 2019.
Albert is survived by his wife Norma (Triplett) of 37 years, daughters Erica McCarthy (Brent), Ashley Bahr (Ryan), and mother-in-law Mary Elizabeth Triplett. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Mayson and Presley Bahr, John Hayden and Coleman McCarthy, and many extended family and friends. Preceded in death by his father Albert J. Hayden and mother Lula (Shuman) Hayden. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
Born on April 12, 1949 in Lake Wales to Albert J. and Lula. The family moved to Dade City when he was a small child and became members of the First United Methodist Church. Albert graduated from Pasco High School and completed his Bachelors Degree at the University of South Florida. He married Norma (Triplett) in 1982 and worked many years for Evans Packing Company in administration. He then led a successful career as a Sales Representative for Shell Oil until his retirement in 2009.
Albert enjoyed starting his mornings at the round table surrounded by his buddies for breakfast. His love of sports began at an early age. He played baseball, football, basketball, ran track, and played golf. Albert was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his wife, family, and friends.
Alberts greatest treasures were his family. He adored his four girls; his mother, wife, and two daughters. His pride and joy were his three grandsons and granddaughter.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, February 7th at Hodges Family Funeral Home and the Funeral Service will be held at 10 am on Friday, February 8th, at First United Methodist Church, Dade City, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Florida United Methodist Childrens Home, 51 Childrens Way, Enterprise, Fl, 32725 www.fumch.org.
