The family of Albert Owen Delacy Jr., 87 years of age, of Zephyrhills Florida, sadly announces his passing on January 8, 2024 in Zephyrhills Florida.

Albert was born on December 16, 1936 in Boston, Massachusetts to parents Mary Ellen and Albert Owen Delacy Sr., and had numerous brothers and sisters, all of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by many loving family members and friends, both here in Florida and in Massachusetts.

Albert grew up in Boston and after working years as a longshoreman for the Charlestown Navy Yard, retired and moved to Barefoot Bay Florida, where his final resting place will be, at his request.

He enjoyed many activities including riding his bicycle, bingo, cards, shuffleboard, and playing the lottery.

In 2010, after extensive surgery, he relocated to Zephyrhills Florida. He then became ill, and received many years of loving care and attention from the staff at Rosecastle assisted living facility in Zephyrhills Florida.

He will be greatly missed by many loving family members and friends.
