Alan Burnett, 73, of Zephyrhills, and formerly of Howell, Michigan, passed away 11/21/2016. He was born 11/03/1943 in Childersburg, AL. He was an educator and coach at Brighton High School for 27 years and coached football and basketball at Howell High School from 1974-1980. In 1991, he finished his coaching career at Whitmore Lake High School and Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard High School. Al dedicated his life to youth sports. Along the way he influenced many young men to be leaders and better men. In his later years, he adopted Berkeley Preparatory School of Tampa, FL as a fan and scout and was an avid supporter of their athletic programs. His love of America will continue on with anyone he came in contact with especially his wife and son. The world is a better place because he was here. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his beloved wife of 51 years, Barb; 1 son , Alan Burnett II; 3 grandsons(Alan III, Nathan, and Preston) and his best friend, Dr. Phil Milner and family.
