Adoracin "Dory" Lopez, 78, of Lakeland passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 peacefully at her daughters home in San Antonio, FL, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 3, 1943 to Jos Echeverry and Manuela Echeverry in Amayur, Spain. A born Basque, she was proud to be an American and found great joy in the adventures that her adoptive country provided. She loved her husband, her children, 16 grandchildren and numerous friends with all her heart. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, retired US Air Force Technical Sergeant Adalberto "Al" Lopez, Sr. as well as her grandson, Joshua Huron. Dory is survived by her son, Adalberto "Al" Lopez, Jr. anddaughter-in-law, Becky Lopez of Belleville, IL; daughter, Ana M. Huron and son-in-law, Santiago Huron of San Antonio, FL. A committal service will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, on November 9 at 2 P.M.
