Ada I. Pancorbo Flores

Ada I. Pancorbo Flores passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Guanica, Puerto Rico, to parents Rosa Flores and Antonio Pancorbo. Ada lived most of her life in Waterbury, CT and in Zephyrhills, FL for the last three years.

Ada worked very hard to raise her five children, she put herself through school and graduated from New Hampshire College in 1994 with a Master Degree in Psychology. She worked as a Nutritionist for the State of CT UCONN Extension Program and as a Social Worker for the State of CT, Dept. of Mental Health, Child Guidance Clinic and Catholic Family Services of Waterbury, CT. She also worked for the Dept. of Education in various schools in Puerto Rico.

Ada enjoyed cooking; she was an exceptional cook and an avid reader. She was the sunshine of the family and was greatly loved by many. She was also a woman of great faith and was part of the 7th Day Adventist Church, which gave her great support throughout her last part of her journey.

She is survived by her sisters, Velia Pancorbo from Guanica, Puerto Rico, and Eunice McDougall of Waterbury, CT; her five children, Manny Tirado and wife Leah, from Waterbury, CT, MaryAnn Smolley and husband Larry, Robert E. Tirado and wife Maritza, Gil Tirado and Luis M. Tirado and wife Michele, from Zephyrhills, FL, and her adoptive daughter, Wanda Tirado of CT. She also leaves her beloved dogs, Agripina, Mima, Chacho y Mia.

Ada is also survived by her grandchildren; Belinda, Domenick, Denise, Michelle, Valerie, Robert Jr, Luis Jr, Jeannine, Nicole, Gilbert, Wandaliz , and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
