Aaron Scott Garrett "Scott" It is with a broken heart that we announce the unexpected passing of Scott Garrett, loving son, father, brother, uncle, and best friend. Scott left us on July 16, 2023. Scott was born on March 22, 1971, to Bill and Sharon Garrett of Oxnard California. Scott grew up in Oxnard, California, where he attended St Johns Lutheran elementary and middle school and Hueneme High School. Growing up, Scott loved watching Nascar with his dad. They always had a project and usually under a car or something with a motor. Scott could fix just about anything. He spent a lot of time at the local hobby shop building gas-powered remote-controlled cars and airplanes. In 2003, Scott relocated to Zephyrhills, Florida. Scotts true calling was being a dad. He loved every moment. He was engaged with everything Austin did, he embraced it all. He was always excited to get to Austins baseball games and watch him pitch. Scott was never too busy for anyone. He was that guy if you needed anything he was there. We will all miss him more than we can express. Scott is preceded in death by his parents: Bill and Sharon Garrett and his beloved "Chase" the cat. He is survived by his son: Austin Garrett, sister and brother-in-law: Kris and Ron Hickle; nephew and wife: Jake and Andrea Batey; his best friends: Tommy and Sabrina Simpson; and aunts, uncle and first and second cousins. We would like to extend our love and deepest gratitude to Tommy and Sabrina Simpson for their ever present support to Scott and being his "Florida family".
