Joanne Marie Poggiali, beloved wife and mother, born August 21, 1941, died Thursday, June 3, 2021, in Zephyrhills, Florida following a brief illness. She passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones. She was 79 years old.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph; sons Chris (Mary), Todd (Lori), Scott (Meg Flood), Jude (Dawn), and daughter Carrie (Jeffrey Bischoff); and grandchildren, Kayla (David Cantu), Marina (Todd Hathaway), Kyle Poggiali (Annalou), Justin Poggiali, Ben Bischoff, Hannah Bischoff, Jake Poggiali, Dominic Poggiali, Joey Poggiali, and Caitlin Bischoff, 4 great-grandchildren, and three sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Joanne graduated from St. Marys Central Catholic High School in 1959. She was employed for a number of years by Perkins Schools. Joanne and Joe retired to Zephyrhills, Florida in 2004. She was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church where she served on the Rosary committee. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her huge heart, welcoming spirit, and sense of humor.

A memorial service will be planned in Sandusky, Ohio for a later date. Donations can be made to Gulfside Hospice of Zephyrhills, Florida.
