Hester Fredrika Strydom, age 73, of Zephyrhills, passed away Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 after 4 years of fighting cancer, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Originally a native of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, she was the daughter of Christoffel Van Zyl and Cecilia Van Zyl. Hester is survived by her husband John, her siblings, sisters; Eva and Cecilia, her brother James, daughter; Brenda Viljoen and Brendas husband Willie Viljoen, son; Ian Strydom and Ians wife Merinda Strydom. Grandchildren include granddaughters; Kelly Viljoen and Junita VilJoen, and grandson; Daniel Strydom Hester is preceded in death by her later brother Chris and her son John. She also leaves behind her loving pets Lucy and Lizzy Hester loved to go on cruises and enjoyed arts and craft very much, she loved painting by numbers, quilting, scrapbooking, and cake decorating. Hesters favorite time of the year is Christmas and loved her Christmas village display, she was very proud of her collection. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 11th, 2023 at the Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel, the service will be held 10-11am.
