Hodges Family Funeral Home  is family owned and operated with the owners living in Dade City.  We are dedicated to the goal of treating our families just as we wish to be treated, with dignity, integrity, respect and personal care.  We value friendships and are committed to providing the highest quality care for the most reasonable prices.  Please come and visit our historic building in Dade City.  Although it’s listed on the Historical Registry of Dade City, our facilities are modern and spacious, with the Chapel seating over 200 comfortably.  Our other two chapels are in Dade City and Zephyrhills and are the former Oakley Funeral Homes.  The Dade City 301 chapel is located alongside Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery which is also owned by the Hodges Family.  The Zephyrhills chapel is located on West 54 to serve the Wesley Chapel and New Tampa area. Michael Hodges is a licensed funeral director and embalmer, and lives in Dade City.  Michael has two have children,  Courtney, and Michael.  A Texas native, Michael was a medic in the Air Force during Vietnam and continued in the medical profession after his honorable discharge in 1974.  He was the Technical Director of Anesthesiology Research for the University of Utah, Ohio State University and the University of South Florida.  He established Hodges Family Funeral Home in 1999 in its present location, at the corner of Church & Fifth Street in Dade City.  Our business number in Dade City is 352-567-0000, Zephyrhills 813-788-6100, which is answered day and night by a funeral director, as we believe that families need to speak to a caring individual, not an answering service.  Michael is a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church; Florida Funeral Director’s Association; Former Member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer, Habitat for Humanity 2000-2004;  Dade City Rotary Club, Rotary Club Treasurer, 2000-2002; Chamber of Commerce, Dade City; Chamber of Commerce, Zephyrhills; Chamber of Commerce of Wesley Chapel; Former member, Board of Directors, and Treasurer, Downtown Mainstreet, City of Dade City; is on the Board of Directors for Gulfside Regional Hospice; Pasco County Fair Association; former member of the RAC Board of Dade City (2008-2009) and is a member of the Republican Party of Pasco County Executive Committee. He was a former member of the Code Enforcement Board, City of Dade City and the Citizen's Advisory Planning Board, City of Dade City;  Michael primarily serves families in the Dade City Chapel.
 
 
Randy Bush is a licensed Funeral Director and is a native of Dade City, graduating from Pasco High School in 1983 and Pasco Hernando Community College in 1986. He graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta where he served as President of the Phi Sigma Eta Honor Society.  He is married to Darlene Johnson Bush; They have two children, Brandon & Brianna.  The Bush's are members of the First Baptist Church in Dade City, where they have participated in the music outreach program and Wednesday evening children's programs.  They are active in the local charter schools  "parent-teacher" organization.  Randy is also a member and current President of the Dade City Sunrise Rotary Club.  Randy is the FDIC, Funeral Director In Charge, of our Hwy 301 Chapel in Dade City, and is a co-owner of Hodges Family Funeral Home, Inc.

 

It is with a heavy heart that must announce that Jim Kehr passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010.  As a valuable member of our organization,

and a great friend, he will be missed by all.
